Our story

Wholesome Movement was founded by Natalie—a coach, yoga teacher, and someone who understands how easy it is to lose connection with your body when life gets busy.

After years of working with people one-to-one and in group settings, she saw that most fitness spaces asked people to choose between strength and softness. Between structure and rest. But real wellbeing doesn’t work that way in real life.

So she created Wholesome, a space where movement and support could meet people where they are—without pressure, without extremes.

Here, intuitive movement and coaching come together to help you feel stronger in your body and clearer in your direction. Some days might look like a steady flow in Beechwood Park, kettlebells on the gym floor or intensity rowing. Other days it’s a quiet conversation, a slow jog, short walk, or learning how to listen when your body says slow down.

Natalie is joined by a small, experienced team who each bring something unique to Wholesome Movement. Together, we offer something different: Movement that fits real life. Coaching that’s practical, not performative. And support that helps you build rhythm and resilience, in a way that actually feels good.

Led by Natalie. Grounded in real life.
Welcome to Wholesome Movement.

Meet the team

At Wholesome Movement, we believe that true wellbeing is a collective journey. Our team is made up of passionate teachers, coaches, and wellness practitioners – each bringing their own unique experience, energy, and heart to the practice.

Whether you join us on the mat, at a retreat, or in a coaching session, you'll be supported by a team deeply committed to helping you move, feel, and live more fully. Meet the people behind the practice—and discover the stories, values, and inspiration that shape everything we do.

  • With over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Natalie is the heart behind Wholesome Movement. A coach and yoga teacher, she brings a balance of structure and softness to everything she leads—from strength sessions at Beechwood Park to the Running Club through Newport.

Natalie created Wholesome to offer something different: movement and coaching that meet people where they are, without pressure or extremes. If she had to sum up Wholesome in one word, it would be nurture—because it’s about supporting people to grow in ways that feel good, sustainable, and real.

Her dream? To one day bring Wholesome to life on its own piece of land—a space where people can gather, train, rest, and reconnect with themselves and each other through movement, nature, and community.

  • Justin is our Head Coach at Wholesome, known for blending strength training with yoga and functional movement in a way that’s both intelligent and empowering. With a background in physics, he brings a science-minded approach to everything he teaches—curious about how the body works, how strength is built, and how movement can support long-term wellbeing.

He first discovered yoga through calisthenics and quickly saw how mobility, breath, and body awareness could enhance not just performance, but mindset too. Motivated by his own progress, he went on to train as a yoga teacher.

Whether it’s strength work or Ashtanga yoga, Justin’s sessions are known for their precision, structure, and steady encouragement—helping people build confidence in how they move and how they feel.

  • Marian is our lead yoga teacher at Wholesome Movement, known for her calming presence and thoughtful, heart-led approach to teaching. She discovered yoga six years ago and quickly realised it was the missing piece in her own journey—offering space not just to move, but to breathe, reflect, and reset.

Since then, her passion and knowledge have deepened, leading her to train as a teacher and support others in finding the same sense of balance and clarity. Marian believes in the power of yoga to create steadiness in both body and mind, and she brings that intention into every class she leads.

You’ll find her guiding morning flows, beginners’ sessions, and deeply restorative Yin classes—always with compassion, encouragement, and the kind of steady support that makes you feel at home on the mat.

Alongside her role at Wholesome, Marian is also the founder of The Skin Shed—a specialist advanced skincare studio that shares the same values of care, honesty, and holistic wellbeing. Her work across both spaces reflects a deep commitment to helping people feel good in their bodies, inside and out.

  • Josie brings over 17 years of teaching experience and a background in ballet to her role as Wholesome Movement’s resident Pilates teacher. Her approach is gentle, technical, and heart-led—focused on helping people move with confidence, clarity, and care.

After managing Dylan’s Health Club at Celtic Manor and qualifying through Fitness Wales, Josie went on to specialise in Mat Pilates, with a strong emphasis on form, flow, and feel-good movement. She believes fitness should be approachable, enjoyable, and full of encouragement—with just the right amount of challenge and a healthy dose of laughter.

As a mother and lifelong mover, Josie creates a welcoming space for people of all levels to reconnect with their bodies and build strength that supports them beyond the mat.
